A Chinese company has been selected to construct a new residential city in Iraq. Located near Mosul in Nineveh Governorate, the city will span 11 square kilometers and include approximately 28,000 houses.
This project is part of Iraq’s post-war housing development strategy, which aims to build millions of homes. The Iraqi government has already handed over the land to the Chinese contractor, who has begun initial preparations for construction.
While the specific Chinese company involved has not been named, it’s known that Chinese firms have been actively participating in Iraq’s housing projects.
