Saudi Arabia’s Neom has formally opened the Sindalah Island destination, making it the first region in Neom to open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening was announced in a statement published by Saudi Press Agency on 27 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With an area of about 840,000 square metres, Sindalah Island is situated 5 kilometres from the mainland in the Red Sea. The island is designed as an ultra-luxury destination and is the first group of islands to be developed at Neom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It features three hotels developed under two brands, Marriott and Four Seasons, with 413 keys, 88 villas and 333 serviced apartments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sindalah Island also features an 86-berth marina for yachts up to 50 metres and 75 offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in October, MEED exclusively reported that Neom planned to open the Sindalah Island destination by the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In December 2022, Saudi Arabia\u2019s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud officially launched the Sindalah Island project at Neom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The development aims to boost the growth of Saudi Arabia\u2019s tourism industry and is expected to create 3,500 jobs for the tourism, hospitality and leisure sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
